Bond Cascade II
Cascade Gramophones were made by W.J.Bond and Sons Ltd. They were timber merchants and woodworkers who entered the gramophone market as a sideline to their main business. They produced what some think of as "ugly" gramophones. They were scientifically more precise than E.M.G or EXPERT gramophones in that they produced a gramophone with a straight exponential system. No compromising bends in the system. The Cascade II sold for 10 guineas, an extraordinary bargain for such faithful reproduction. They produced three models, the Sideboard with a hidden horn, The Cascade II with a 4 foot external horn sticking out the side and finally the Cascade III with a 7 foot horn. They were supplied with a Meltrope soundbox with the option to add either a EXPERT or E.M.G soundbox at extra cost. EXPERT even advertised and exhibited the Cascade at their showrooms.
